The redesigned speaker fires sound 360 degrees to fill a medium room at volumes that embarrass the previous flat-top models. Alexa handles the full command library: music from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify and others; podcast playback via Amazon and Audible; smart home control for lights, heating, locks and sockets; shopping lists, timers, reminders and kitchen conversions. The 5th Gen adds a built-in temperature sensor for room awareness, and Eero Wi-Fi mesh capability — it can extend an Eero network without an additional device. At £28.49 (from £54.99) it's the cheapest way to add voice-controlled audio and smart home control to any room.
